Well I spent a good part of the day shoveling snow, then I did something I have been wanting to do for some time. I started with a leaf spring, cut out a
blank, then hot cut along the marks you see. The top is a forged knife I am working on, fresh out of the forge (well I had to let it cool slowly to anneal it).
The blade is going to be about 10 1/2 inches!!! That&#39;s a knife. I will post as progress takes place.

<p style="MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0in">Mojo, Ariell and I have made it to Pierre, South Dakota, and are pheasant hunting with my dad, his friend Chris, who owns the
lodge and property we hunt, and 30 of our closest friends. We know the names of six or seven people, but the others are pretty entertaining at any rate. This

			<description><![CDATA[ Here is another cane ferrule that&#39;s not to hard to construct but does require a bit more planning ahead then the sleeve type. This is a female
ferrule built into the rod shaft itself. You use a swell in the female ferrule end that is scalloped, ala hollow building, to create the ferrule. You need to
deceide what wall thickness you want so you can determine the dimentions of the swell. Also, you might need to change the taper at the smallest dia. of the

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>     Sense there is a lot of curiosity about cane ferrule making, I thought I would post a short tutorial on a simple method I have used in the past.
Hopefully it will give you some basic knowledge from which you can expand upon. Some may not like the athstetics because I don&#39;t try to hide the ferrule,
rather I prefer to accentuate it. Either way, your own imagination can take over and give your own look to the finished product. Below is a 7ft, 6in 4 wt done
with this method.

ammonia tone it, but that won&#39;t be necessary now.
