to use Flex Coat Lite mix with some Acetone 1:1 ratio to finish the wraps, 6-8 thin coats on silk wraps. I am planning on not dipping the rod in a tube if its
possible. Any thoughts or tips would be great.

As much as I try to stay away from doing restoration work, there are (as most of you know) a few times where you feel somewhat obligated...

Anyways I need some description or better yet some info/photos for a Abercrombie & Fitch, Yellowstone Special, 3pc 9ft.
This rod was used and abused hard! What I have to work with is pretty much a good ferruled blank with one or two guides left, I can see faintly what was
probably once intermediate...

Had some medical grade titanium, ELI, and thought I'd make a set of ferrules. When I finished the female, I deceided to try and color the metal using
Birch-Wood Casey Brass Black. As you can see, it only worked near the welt. The rest of the shaft discoloration is a result of useing heat. Color was uneven
and far to blue. Should have just had it coated but I got it into my head that I could color it. Result, was I ruined it. Haha, some people learn harder than
others.

had to be fancy and add a decoration. It's a half inch of #241, followed by a half inch of white, then finished with a half inch of #241 again. I put the

and if the target were 151 it would be +0 -2. If all 3 measurements were the same, then by definition we would have all 60 degree angles. A
"149-150-151" strip does not have 3 60 degree corners. What do you high end makers consider close enough for angle, and how close do you expect to
get to the target depth. Would I be correct...

Okay, this is a new one to me, so chime in with advice. I have been using REC Unifdrrules for most of my rods, probably about 10 or so with the uniferrules
now. I think they are good looking and I have found that they are manufactured to close tolerances and have been easy to fit. On a recently completed rod they
were closer than that. After sanding lightly on a 1/4" area at the butt of one male ferrule I tried a test fit and it slid clear into the female, no

thin the material. Also it seems this would be the way to go with CP'd wraps.
