Doing some research on a 1968 7' 1/2 -3 3/4 HEH Phillipson Paramount. It was given to me in a raffle and I am trying to get an idea of what I have.

It is in excellent condition. Everything original. Grip has no flaws. and heel is gold with what looks like resin or plastic The Raffle Guy said that it has been used twice by his father who passed away. It has two tips, bag, and aluminum pole. Spalted Crab Apple and other Spalted Blanks

A few folks have asked me if there are any Spalted Crab Apple blanks available.

This photo was shamelessly stolen from Joe's excellent Tutorial

What is available in the Crab Apple is: 35 of the 7/8 and about 35 of the 3/4 inch.

Most of the blanks are 6 inches long but some are 5 to 5.5 inches...

More Duronze Ferrules For Sale

Gentlemen,

I have gotten a very good response from people on my ferrules and I have now finished a few more sizes. I now have #10, 11, 12, and 15/64 Duronze ferrules available. I am out of #13s but will be making some more soon. These are 1 Female, 2 Male sets. The ferrules are all machined by hand by yours truly. These ferrules are machined to extremely tight tolerances, especially the slide of the female ferrule. The ferrules are not serrated, as I'm not set up for cutting...

This 9' 3/2 5/6 weight rod is in EX condition. All sections full length and straight. No flaws at all. The ferrules are tight and have that nice resounding "pop". The rod is ready to be fished. I really don't want to sell this one, but need to in order to help pay for an upcoming new bamboo rod purchase

Once upon a time, long, long.... oops wrong movie... I remember seeing someone selling nice cloth bags for bamboo rods. I can't remember where now.

Where do you all get bags for the rods you make? I certainly don't want a bag with Cabellas emboldened on it for my hand planed bamboo treasures.

Since I have not use cork in some time..."-) I have made some available with large photos to see the quality. I have vacuumed packed in groups of 12 rings ( 1.125"x.50" w/.25" bore ) to preserve them till use, priced at $50.00 a pack delivered USA...
