The Lovely Reed - Reprint

Good new Jack has reprinted an updated version of the Lovely Reed, self published by Jack Howell. It is my understanding that Alan Kube was gracious enough help with the financing and Daryll helped Jack also. Kudos to Alan and Daryll for that. Anyway here is a link to Jacks order form. This has been a long time coming.

I just heard the news and it seems that Michigan is not only home to many talented bamboo rod makers and many superb fly anglers but we also have tentative WORLD RECORD BROWN TROUT!!!

The angler was using a fly rod (I don't know what it was made out of, but we can always hope) and the monster was hooked on a fly. The behemoth was caught in the Manistee...

Well, I leave the evening of Aug. 10th, from western Montana and head for NW Wyoming, to Jackson Hole, then on to find camp and the starting line on the Greys River, to begin the 5th annual Cuttie-thon. I am not sure how to put this but I believe in the power of prayer, My wife has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and though this type of cancer has a very high servival rate the concern is that it was caught in time. There are many things in life I can do without but my wife is not one of them. Please if you do such a thing can you please say a prayer for her?
