Didn't you know I am one of the fantastic 4? I have the ability of making myself invisible! I can walk through a crowd and nobody sees me!
It was a great show and once again the best part of it was being able to see so many friends, many of them customers, that I haven't seen in a long time.
Sure was fun being there, too bad I got sick and had to leave early Sat.
All I can say is thanks to all for all the memories and support.

Thanks to all who posted pictures from the show. It is tough work keeping track of splitcane. I see that his eyes aren't just trained for spotting trout. I haven't laughed this much in a long, long while. Colorado rocks! Regards to all, stvrain

Here is a bit of what I got. I would have taken more, but I was busy fixing my pent. rod with a utility knife!

Some fine rods built by some guy at the show...I think his name is Dave from some town in Colorado...

With TWO sets of twins... I must say this Fly Fishing Calendar is a vast improvement over past Calendars...

It was really nice to see everyone there, only regret is not taking my camera till the last day/hour of the show...

Maybe Curley will get off his butt and post his photos, probably off using a utility knife on a bamboo rod some where...

Yes, indeed...Great show and Dave, you should have been there. Well, he was there, but we were having a difficult time finding him. His booth was empty most of the time we were there. So we went off to find the Gnome:

Went back to Dave's booth ~ still not there ~ yet we found him!

St. Vrain ~ From the pictures you sent me, Dubai looks like a fascinating place to explore. And what a great learning experience for your children. Have you tried surf fishing on a fly rod yet? (Make sure to rinse that salt water off the bamboo!!!) The poster that questioned your choice certainly must live on a trout stream smack dab in the middle of Yellowstone. Living in Dubai makes me appreciate my regular life more, especially my friends, and most especially my fly fishing buddies. I have been to the fly show every year for a long while. DUBAI!?!?! Yeah, I hear the spring creeks are awesome there, if you can dig one up out of a sand dune.... Whatta place NOT to be.
Sorry... that's just my opinion... I realize it's likely "work" related, but there is nothing that would get me there. You know... like "here's a million dollars. But, first, you have to go to Dubai." NOT!!!

Couldn't you have just taken pics of yourself in Yuma... they look the same.

My appearance is dependent on Curly since he is my driver/room&board/entertainment in the big city. It gets a little lonely up here in the winters of northern WY so I've made it a point to go the last 3 years for the chance to talk-shop with the other rod makers.... even though most yous guys are from Colorado . .

Gnome is doing three Casting Domos & three talk's on the History of Fly Fishing...

I will likely be there, if I'm not at Sweetgrass getting bamboo slivers under my fingernails! I was wondering what was going on with the whole "Bamboo Revival" booths, and such, at the show. Is the Gnome taking over Fultz's duties of ABRA? Are there going to be lots of builders? I just read a little about it yesterday, online, and it looks like there are going to be two shows again. Neither of the two short articles I read mentioned anything about bamboo. They were mostly...

Joe Arguello and I will have a table in the Rocky Mountain Bamboo Revival section of the show, North/East corner of the show as you enter the front door. Bigger this year and we have our own casting area again, great for throwing cane without waiting on the main casting...
