I just got a post deleted off Clark's because I mentioned I thought it was sad that legislation was not getting passed in Congress, to protect wilderness--the topic of the thread. So, I wrote a pissed-off response to the moderator--who apparently agreed with me politically, but the RULES are there is no mention of politics or religion; guess that means you can't quote most of A River Runs Through It... I don't see how you can want wilderness, but not have the god-damned spine to stick up for it, no holds barred. Anyway, I was looking at the pictures and comments on preferred presidents, and thinking, "Glad we can say we admire a president on this board." I think my favorite president was Roosevelt, b/c of the National Park/Forest Service designations he backed, even though Mark Twain (a favorite author of mine) wasn't a big fan b/c of Teddy's Imperialist tendencies...
