I live in Colorado Springs and consider the South Platte and lower Arkansas home water. I'm pretty much a dry fly geek and prefer to pursue the locals
from the topside year-round. Enjoy getting out to the smaller, obscure creeks in the summer, waiting for just the right time to lay that Adams or BWO in
front of that sneaky Brown or Bow just off the bank. An apprentice to the sport, I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to hone my skills with my mix of rods and

Make that "dry fly purist"  .
Same here, local waters, dry flies about 90% of the time for me. Ant imitations also work well in the small streams here in southwestern Michigan.

Gary - I grew up (only somewhat according to my wife) in SW Michigan - just south of Grand Rapids. Fished from boats, docks and banks with worms as a kid.
Picked up a fly rod much later here in Colorado. Have returned and fished some of the small creeks in the old dairy farm country with one of my favorite
Heddons. Fun, fun, fun. Hoping to get back there in early June for a family rebellion. Cheers.
