Posts: 147 12/30/08 12:25:53	I just talked with Marty Jones of the Oskar Blues Brewery in Lyons, Colorado. They brew the best darn beer on the planet, but the best-known brew is Dale's Pale Ale, which has won several awards around the country for being so drinkable! As their Fly Fishing Ambassador, they sponsor me to go around and make sure anglers know about, and enjoy their canned micro-brews--yes canned. I am trying to put together an official gathering of bamboo rod makers/builders, and enthusiasts during the upcoming Fly Fishing Show in Denver (Jan. 9-11). I would like to get feedback as to when and where you would like to meet. The brewery has been very helpful with my book and non-profit projects, and are a wonderful group of people. Marty is an avid fly angler, and I'd like to get some of your rods in his hands! Please let me know if you can attend, so I can better plan on location, time and date. Since it's so close might be tuff putting it together right so might want to have a small get together Sunday afternoon close to the show and do the Oskar Blues Brewery thing this Spring during the Colorado Cane Conclave when we are all up there. Hell... we could book a block of rooms in town or stay at the Ranch, I think Gary gets deals on the rooms at the Ranch also... Also Joe Arguello and I will have a table in the Rocky Mountain Bamboo Revival section of the show, North/East corner of the show as you enter the front door. Bigger this year and we have our own casting area again, great for throwing cane without waiting on the main casting area so come on by and say Hi... Couple of new - couple of old! Anyway I look forward to being there, come by and say hi. I'm still trying to get Frank Drummond to bring by a couple of rods also, he keeps telling me he's not ready to show his rods! Posts: 147 12/31/08 17:01:14	Joe and Dave: Can't wait to see you at the show. I will see about getting a location close to the Merchandise Mart, and get back to everyone. We might be able to work having some free beer/gathering/B.S.ing at both the Show and the CCC. I'm pretty sure I could swing it. I am also starting to put together a PowerPoint presentation on my travels for my book on Cutthroat trout, for a little entertainment. I have quite a few photos of bamboo and native fish. I will plan on Dave finding some long-legged blondes to help set up my equipment . Would that presentation be something worth seeing for anyone, or is it too much on top of everything?

I got my booth late so I do not have many details as far as location. This will be my first big show in Denver and I will see just how exciting it is ! I attended last year but did not have table.
